Overton update No.5. Thanks for the positive comments from all and Sod it,here goes!! Can I firstly add that I do appreciate that some people have had unpleasant experiences during the festival. We took our dog a walk down dog kennel lane and there was human waste evident,not pleasant at all when all we usually see is dog waste.I can only comment on what its like on the front line that for us is our garden. As I type one of the stewards is going round picking up rubbish that has been dropped near our fence,i wonder if we can get the council to do that in Morecambe? Just a thought! Quiet night for us last night,cant comment for all in the village but we didnt hear any noise last night apart from the steward sited on the gate behind us bellowing at the top of his voice to people SHUT UP PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!!!, Again I cant comment on what people hear that live nearer the tent area. Some of my neighbours attended the evening service last night at 7.30 and one of them stayed till 11pm,think the Light and Life church have a convert! This person is a lady who walked back across the site on her own at 11pm in safety,wouldnt advise her to do it in Morecambe. I suppose we are lucky to be the garden that is nearest the stewarded gate as they are doing a great job of keeping order in the area nearest us because when the festival was announced I was advised to buy a big fence and employ private security as we were first in the firing line,hasnt turned out that way luckily. Going to have a walk on site today for a stroll,havent seen any reported dog fights or organised bare knuckle fights that some people have suggested are taking place!!
