History had it that November last year 2013 at NYSC Orientation camp at Umudi Nkwere, Batch C Corps members were told that the Imo State government does pay coppers N10,000 (Ten thousand naira) monthly while their senior coppers there present whispered to them that its a Fraud by the state governor. Seeing they say is believing or term it experience is the best teacher, its been four months gone now and non of the batch C corps members has received a dime from the state government yet those new Batch A who are in the orientation camp now are still being told the good non existing N10,000 naira state allowance story. Youth corps members who dont know our governor from Adam now ask me, is this how he wants to govern Nigeria? Weve been watching Imo state in the television and concluded to come and enjoy under her family but are highly disappointed in the fake elephant promises. One thing for sure is this that either the state government does not pay coppers or those in charge of the payment has a cockroach in their cupboard. Rivers and Enugu state pays N10,000 while Abia state pays the little they can afford with respect to their allocation and revenue generation and they are our neighboring states but Imo State has promised what they cannot pay and dont even pay a dime at all. These corps members have put in their best in rendering undiluted services to the state in the educational sector and in other government sectors. Many batches are gone and no one was paid but till now, there has been the elephant promises of we pay coppers N10,000 naira. Governor, Stop denting the image of Imo State and Imolites with your fraudulent promises because we are known for our passionate way of taking care of our visitors. You dont have to wait till they demonstrate at Okigwe round about before you pay them. Stop making payments on radio stations and television channels. -Bldr. Dike Ngozi Dike.
