Owner of Chillounge Mr. Scheer, calling our group “haters” - TopicsExpress

Owner of Chillounge Mr. Scheer, calling our group “haters” shows the extent of what a poor business man you are. I have been in business over 30 years and have also been involved in organizing charity events, and yes, I imagine putting on an event of the magnitude of Chilllounge is quite difficult. But as any good business person knows, the customer is always right, and there should be an attempt to correct the dissatisfaction of the customer to everyone’s liking. Your resolution to the issue was to give us a partial refund or we could leave. It wasn’t a resolution, it was an ultimatum. The tone of your “resolution” is what set the tone for the remaining attempts to resolve this issue. You spoke down to the women in our group and when I attempted to become involved in the conversation, you went and obtained one of your “employees” to try to speak to us to resolve the situation, an employee who admittedly had no power to resolve the issue. It became quite obvious that cabanas were sold that were not available, as we witnessed other attendees at your function, walking around with their receipt in their hand, looking for their non-existent cabana. I believe there were several options available to you for resolving this situation in an amicable manner, however, you chose none of them, other than a condescending ultimatum. The joy in being at Chilllounge was not due to the function, but due to the persons in attendance with us, and in hindsight, we should have left and enjoyed our evening at another location. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors, however, do not underestimate the power of “word of mouth”.
