P-Noy excluded Nora Aunor from the list of National Artists because of her drug conviction in 2005. Ang alam ko, NCAAs criteria for selection center more on the significant works, contribution, and impact of the artist to The Arts. Theres no criterion about criminal history. Not a Noranian, but I really do think she deserves this recognition. Lets not deprive her of whats due her; besides, I think she has paid for her mistake in many different ways. National Artist ang pangalan ng award, hindi tayo nagka-canonize ng santo. Kailan pa iyan ibibigay sa kanya, kapag patay na yung tao, out of sympathy? Eh ang dami nga nating pulitikong mabibisyo eh, magnanakaw at mamamatay-tao pa, and yet binoboto pa rin!
