P.S.A. This election is being turned into a joke. Of all the elections in all the years we have been at Bronx Science, all the candidates this year are putting far too much emphasis on quantity over quality. Facebook groups are three to four times as large and have literally up to ten times as many posts. As many of you realize, our school faces about as many problems as years past, so why are candidates posting so much? I have been hearing rumors that people actually believe the seriousness and quality of a candidate is determined by how much she or he writes in these groups. How this incorrect assumption was started I have no idea, but I am stopping it now. Facebook is a place to have legitimate communication between the candidates and the student body, not to post the same things over and over to trick people into believing one candidate is more serious than another. I admit guilt to over posting just like the rest. My campaign has been geared towards keeping our school enjoyable so I have tried to make my posts interesting, but even these posts are unnecessary and ought to be avoided. Things such as my seven-page platform which cannot be distributed within the school belong on facebook, but ten minute videos and nightly posts repeating the same material over and over should not be allowed because they are not only misleading but are also pretty annoying! I pledge to keep my posts on Facebook only to what is absolutely necessary, and I apologize for the way candidates in this election have been mocking the values of office with these repetitive posts. Like this post to tell other candidates its time to stop flooding your newsfeed with the same material they have already used and to stop mocking the value of the S.O. Let this be the last annoyingly long S.O. post you have to see! Content counts, lets start paying attention Bronx Science. Before we change this school, we have to change this election. #presidentmartin
