P.S. on the cell phone brouhaha - less than an hour after I posted my rant against Verizon right here on facebook, I got an email from said cellular service provider which informed me that I was eligible for a credit which brought the cost of the phone and the plan to an amount I was willing to spend, and, to click here and see the phones available for the plan they were lobbying to get me to switch to. Now, a mere 60 minutes or so earlier, the phone I wanted was, according to their not so helpful customer service person, not available on that particular plan - why? - how the hell should I know? So I clicked and, lo and behold, there was that same phone, and they let me buy it, so who the hell knows. Important thing is this - got the phone, haggled down the price via electronic/psychic type communication - or mere coincidence. Who cares. Love the phone. LOVE it. My enthusiasm amplified,no doubt, in direct proportion to the antipathy engendered by previous nightmare phone. P.P.S. Phone is Motorola Moto X.
