PADDYS WRAP UP OF WANGARATTA SHOW I’m happy overall but Rolly has learnt a bad habit and has worked out if he doesn’t want to jump in competition he won’t! So I retired him on Friday and put him over a few practice jumps so he didn’t feel he was getting a win. Saturday I dropped him a class and just jump to the 70cm. Rolly stopped twice but got around the coarse. We will get there with him. Duke jumped very well in his first class on Friday, knocking 1 rail. In the 105cm he went out a lot calmer but I think putting him in the 105cm at his first ag show was stupid “lesson learnt” He jumped like a stag! although with so much going on it was hard for him to focus so he knocked 4 rails. The fences he did jump well it was REALLY WELL! We just couldn’t keep it together. So Saturday I put him just in the 90cm. Duke was a super star we just took it easy it was a 2 phase so 2nd round against the clock, so he jumped clear and beautiful but too slow to place but very happy with him. Benalla and Rutherglen next weekend so Im sure well have some big improvements!
