PAGASA 24HR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST issued at 5am 1August2014. Synopsis: Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon and Western Visayas. Meanwhile, at 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm HALONG was estimated based on all available data at 1,740 km East of Central Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest slowly. Forecast: The provinces of Zambales and Bataan will have monsoon rains. Metro Manila, the rest of Central Luzon, the regions of Ilocos, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol and Western Visayas will experience occasional rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
