PAINFUL DEATHS: Death is the eternal truth of life. Inextricable - TopicsExpress

PAINFUL DEATHS: Death is the eternal truth of life. Inextricable as well as unbearable, especially when it grasps a beloved one. Such is the case of Phillip Hughes, who is today bereaved and mourned not merely by his family members, but millions of fans all over the world. Reminds me of deceased Indian Cricketer, Raman Lamba who encountered the similar fate 16 years ago. On 20th February, 1998, he was playing on behalf of Abahoni Krira Chakra against Dhaka Mohammedan Sports Club, both of which were hot favourites of Bangladesh. Standing on the forward short leg without helmet, he was dragged towards death. As Mehrab Hussein of Mohammedan Sports Club took a pull-shot, Lamba was hit hard behind the head. Subsequently, he was hospitalized in Bangladesh. The best Neurosurgeons of Bangladesh itself went hammer and tongs to cure Lamba. But their efforts yielded no outcome. The Bangladesh Government hired a Neurosurgeon from Delhi, but even he failed. Ventilated for five days, Lambas family members lost hope and asked the doctors to declare him dead officially. Upon compliance, he was released from ventilation and thus, lost the tug-of-war with death. It is believed that a persons soul is taken towards heavenly abode by death. In this context, I ask. Has the souls of Hughes and Lamba confronted each other in heaven by now? The answer lies with Our Creator, Protector and Destroyer, Almighty God.
