PAINTING FOR POOCHES CHARITY PROJECT Lucky Dog Rescue and Adoption Center is the new dog shelter situated on the Carreterra Chapala-San Nicholas on the way to Vista del Lago. It is the perfect rural location for the dogs to exercise, become healthy, well nourished and socialized. We are a completely non-profit organization and all funds come from donations from our community and abroad. We have started a project called Painting for Pooches and would like to appeal for help from the animal loving artists in the Lakeside community. We want to paint colorful and happy wall murals at the shelter to make the environment even more cheerful. We can’t provide perfectly prepared wall surfaces or ideal working conditions, but we will provide a lot of publicity for you thru printed publications, Facebook and our Lucky Dog Website. We will dedicate the murals painted by you as volunteers, to the person or pet you choose with a commemorative piece. Happily, several artists have already committed to this project, but we need more! We also are interested in someone who makes special dog collars and leashes. You could have some samples made and then take orders at our Open House. We hope to have the project completed by October with an Open House Party to introduce the New Look in November.
