PAINTING RESTORATION. A friend recently lost his mother who loved this painting. It hung in her living room for many years. It was not well cared for neglected and unappreciated by him. The painting is unsigned and on an inferior support ( high alpha board ) and of little monetary value. But for him it now has great sentimental value and he wanted it preserved. The restoration was difficult and time consuming due to its fragile condition and substandard materials. But he is a friend. So, I did it. It now hangs in a conspicuous space of honnor in his home and he thinks of his mom every time he sees it. Thats every day. He was so pleased with the results he now loves the painting and that was payment enough for me.
