PALAU HOUSING AUTHORITY GIVEN FLEXIBILITY TO SET LOAN CEILING Tia Belau. June 30th, 2014. With his signature to HB No. 9-66-4, HD2, SD1, President Remengesau has given Palau Housing Authority improved flexibility in setting the ceiling for the maximum loan available in response to inflation. The new law overhauls the code that pertains to the housing authority. “As you know, our current law regarding the Palau Housing Authority is a relic from the trust territory times, enacted as the Trust Territory Community Housing Act of 1973. This bill repeats that outdated act, aligning it with reality by providing the legal structure for the formal creation of Palau Housing Authority,” states President Remengesau in his June 25 letter to Speaker Anastacio regarding his signing of the bill.
