PALESTINIANS MODERATES = ISRAELI STOOGES. After the Palestinians elected Hamas to leadership, Israel arrested the ministers, placing power into the hands of Abbas, who was their stooge at the time. It was Abbas duty to appoint a government pending new elections. Abbas appointed other stooges, acceptable to Israel. Since then Abbas term of office has long expired and he has not held new elections. Israel and therefore America was happy to deal with Abbas as the defacto leader of the Palestinians. Abbas and his Israeli approved stooges became known as moderates. They made no demands upon Israel except that Israel pause in settlement construction during peace talks. This demand allowed Israel to refuse to negotiate and blame it on the Palestinians. We have been in this situation for years.
