PARABLE OF A BAD MESSENGER A King sent one of his servants and said, “ Go and call my doctor to come here immediately. Tell him to stop all what he is doing and come immediately.” You know that my son is sick. Then the messenger goes and meets the doctor. Then he tells the doctor, “Hello Doctor, be forever blessed. You are highly honored by the King. The King has sent me to come and tell you that he remembers you always and likes to see you often. So, I encourage you to continue to make the King love you and honor you by always passing by the palace more frequently than you have done before.” After saying this, he bids the doctor farewell and returns to the palace. Tell me, if the King’s son dies and it is known that the servant delivered the message not exactly as he was given, what do you think will happen to the King? I pray that you verify the gospel messengers you listen to like the Bereans did in Acts 17:11. We like King Jesus’ children are sick. We might die, if the servants of the Bible who preach God’s word to us fail to tell us exactly what is there but simply lavish us with praises and promises.
