PART ONE: IN THE SPIRIT OF TODAY Being a New Yorker, I can tell you that when 9/11 occurred... and people were covered in gray soot... when people were looking for help... when people were looking to help... no one who was effected saw the bullshit that comes with the prejudices that people seem to normally see when they see Blacks, Whites, Latinos, Asians, Men, Women, Straights, Gays & others. Being a New Yorker, I can tell you that when Sandy occurred... and people were homeless, without food, electricity, clothing & water... when people were looking for help... when people were looking to help... no one who was affected, saw the bullshit that comes with the prejudices that people seem to normally see when they see Blacks, Whites, Latinos, Asians, Men, Women, Straights, Gays & others. Due to Kenny Smith, I was able to go to New Orleans after Katrina hit. In the Ninith Ward, I was able to to walk right up to where one of the levees had been breached. Was able to actually feel the spirits & the pain of what occurred. We had to stay in Houston and when I got back to the hotel, I experienced being in an elevator, by myself, with a White Man who seemed to be the definitive image of what I perceived a Red-Neck Cracker to be. He asked why was I there? When I told him I was there with Kenny to help... to give out food, clothing, toiletries & other things... he broke down in tears and began sobbing while saying Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
