PAW - An Overview PAW (Protecting Africa’s Wildlife), is an NGO which has been established to address and rectify Africa’s exploding poaching problems. PAW will achieve this by consolidating all of South Africa’s Anti-Poaching efforts under one umbrella organisation; implementing and managing anti-poaching strategies and solutions; coordinating and managing resources, training, personnel, infrastructure and intelligence; providing the latest technology, expertise and technological resources and infrastructure; providing military and policing personnel, machinery, infrastructure and training; consulting on Laws and Legislation pertaining to the capture and sentencing of poachers; consulting with foreign Governments to publicly support and endorse commitments for stemming wildlife trafficking; creating and managing Youth conservation, wildlife and tracking schools; creating a PAW Task Force; working closely with communities, Governments, Institutions, Organisations, Businesses and Law Enforcement; educate the public as to the frequency, severity, and consequences of the poaching crisis; run a successful Awareness Campaign that resonates with the South African public and International Community in an emotionally compelling way; ensure cross-platform interactivity through conventional media and digital media; resonate, educate, inform and include local communities in all strategies and activities; and support, educate and advise game rangers, trackers and business, reserve and lodge owners. PAW will also; sustain and grow a substantial support and contribution base; create a viable formula with longevity to ensure ongoing funding, contributions and support; create a successful platform which can be replicated in other countries; and optimise all usage of funding and contributions, whilst ensuring transparency of all funds and contributions allocation; ensuring accountability of all funds and contributions expenditure and facilitate a Board of qualified, experienced, and credible; Government, professional, expert and industry specialists.
