PAY IT FORWARD!!!! I can remember back when I was in college, I had this dream of putting self development classes into the school system. I started reading self development books and kept thinking to myself, why isnt this stuff taught in schools?! It is something I am passionate about because I feel that the younger you are that you start to learn the basic fundamentals of success, the more of a chance you have at really succeeding. As we grow older, the saying is sometimes true, You cant teach an old dog, new tricks. For some of us, the older we get, the easier it is to just stick with what weve always known, not realizing that the world is constantly evolving and society is constantly changing. For some reason we forget that continually doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is complete insanity! As we grow up, unfortunately, many of us keep a closed mind to new things. And lets be honest, the only reason anyone ever has a closed mind is out of FEAR! They fear change and uncertainty. Children and teenagers, on the other hand, are a lot more likely to be teachable! The younger they are, the more willing they are to learn! ((If you have children or have ever been around children, you know they are like sponges, they pick up everything you say and do!)) This is why I love this charity so much! ET The Hip Hop Preacher has put together an organization to help struggling youth continue their education. His organization is teaching teens fundamentals that will not only help them graduate but they will be able to apply it to their every day lives after school as well! It is also helping keep them out of the streets and out of trouble! So in my efforts to start giving back, Ive decided to donate a small amount monthly to this amazing organization! My challenge for you....... Pick an organization/cause that you are passionate about and contribute something. It doesnt even have to be monetary. Put in some volunteer hours. Just pay it forward! You will be helping others in need, and it may just make you feel good too! :)
