PBS NewsHour had a segment last night to discuss how we keep electing the same people over and over into a Congress that has a single digit approval rating...one of the reasons the consultant they brought in said was GERRYMANDERING...I was especially pleased to see that out of the TWO most gross examples they cited in the country one was good ole District 3 in MD!...yep, Anne Arundel County!...looked like the after effects of a Gallagher smashed watermelon sprayed across the map of Maryland!...OMalley and the Democrats did this to remove one more Republican from the House...now, its important to note the Republicans are just as bad, but since I was witness to what they did to MD in the last redistricting, I had to mention it...this power needs to be removed from partisan politics, that whichever party is in power controls the districting is completely nonsensical to me...any thoughts?
