PDP TO REVIEW MANIFESTO Category: Inside politics Published on Wednesday, 29 January 2014 05:00 Written by Andrew Agbese Hits: 84 The manifesto of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would soon be reviewed to make it more sensitive to the plight of Nigerians, PDP national chairman, Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Mua’zu has said. Mua’zu who spoke while receiving the Akwa Ibom State governor, Godswill Akpabio who paid him a courtesy call at the PDP national secretariat yesterday, said the party would also be organizing a conference of party stakeholders to address Nigerians on what the PDP stands for. He said immediately after that, a committee would be set up to review the manifesto of the PDP to make it sensitive to the yearnings of Nigerians saying he believes that that the manifesto of a party should be sensitive to the plight of the people. Akabio who spoke earlier, said congratulated Mu’azu for emerging as chairman of the party saying he will support him on the mandate to deliver the party in 2015. The Akwa Ibom governors said he supports another term for the President stressing that he has no apology for saying that. He said, “One thing I know about in party politics is loyalty. You cannot be disloyal to the leadership of the party and the system and expect to come through the window to take power. It is impossible and that is what the NWC must help us to work against. “I am very loyal to the leader of the party at the national level, Mr. President, and you can all attest to that and I don’t make pretenses about it. So I will expect the same loyalty to be extended to me at the state level. Whoever wants to stay in Abuja and jump through the office of NWC to take power in Akwa Ibom, I say Tufiakwa, it is impossible.”
