PDP crisis: Jonathan, Govs’ meeting rescheduled A meeting between President Goodluck Jonathan and governors of the Peoples Democratic Party over the crisis in the party was Monday rescheduled till after the end of Sallah Celebrations. In a communique read at the end of the meeting Monday, the governors resolved that despite the verbal war that erupted between aides of the president and some of the governors, they remain committed to resolving the differences between them. The communique which was read by the governor of Cross Rivers state, Liyel Imoke reads: “Sequel to the meeting held on the 15th of September and in line with the agreements reached at the meeting, the governors met with the President, Vice President and the Chairman of the board of trustees, with apologies from the Governors of Jigawa, Sokoto and Adamawa, who had travelled for the Hajj “The meeting which was cordial, resolved that inspite of the unfortunate events that arose after the meeting of 15th of September, the parties remain committed to the resolution of the differences “The meeting agreed to continue to take steps towards implementing the resolutions agreed to at the previous meetings “In view of the absence of some of the governors, it was resolved that the meetings be reconvened shortly after the Muslim hajj and Christian pilgrimages are concluded”. The meeting was attended by the Governor of Niger state, Babangida Aliyu, Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State, Ahmed Abdulfatah of Kwara State, Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State and Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State. Others were the Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom and Ibrahim Shema Katsina State. The chairman of the Board of trustees of the PDP, Chief Tony Anenih joined president Goodluck Jonathan and vice president Namadi Sambo
