PEACE, THE SIGNATURE OF GOD And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. Isaiah 32:17 Several people had been asking me to know when they are in the will of God for their lives especially in their career choices and that of a life partner and one thing I tell them is that the will of God brings joy to us though sometimes we can confuse happiness to joy but there is another thing that doing the will of God brings that we cant confuse with any other thing and that is ‘peace’. Yes, peace is the signature of God’s approval that what we are doing or who we are chosing is the right person or thing. Isa 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace….the saints are to be led with peace. When God is leading you and directing your choices in life, then your peace will have no bounds. Does that man you want to marry give you peace down in your heart? That job that you are doing, or the church you are worshipping etc. gives you peace? If not, then its not the will of God for you. Knowing the will of God in anything is simple, because eachtime you do the will of God, you’ll have peace down your heart. Our text says, the word of righteouness (or the will of God) has peace as its signature. God bless you.
