PEI & NS: The skies are overcast across PEI this morning while in NS there is light snow falling in the west, partly cloudy skies are in central areas and it is overcast in northern areas, the eastern shore and Cape Breton. Current temperatures in PEI range from -5°c but feeling like -9°c in Montague to +1°c but feeling like -5°c in East Point. In NS the temperatures range from -7°c but feeling like -12°c in Pleasant Bay to +3°c but feeling like 0°c in Clyde River. PEI: You will see increasing cloudiness bringing flurries this morning and rain will move in this afternoon bringing around 5mms. Tonight you will around another 15mms of rain which could become mixed with snow overnight. Winds will be from the southeast from 20 to 40kms/hr gusting up to 50kms/hr. Temperatures will be around +3°c to +6°c today and tonight will be around +1°c. NS: We will see a mix of sun and cloud with increasing cloudiness throughout the day as rain moves in from west to east reaching Cape Breton by this evening. The west will see 5-10mms today. Tonight most areas will see 5-15mms of rain with fog developing in some areas. The Cape Breton Highlands may see some flurries this evening. Winds will be from the southeast around 30 to 40kms/hr gusting from 50 to 60kms/hr but gusting to 80kms/hr from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence late this evening and after midnight. Temperatures will range from +3°c to +9°c today and from 0°c to +8°c overnight. There are a few clouds in the sky this morning here in Lantz as you can see from the cover photo I uploaded a little while ago. The current temperature is -5.2°c but feels like -8°c.
