PEOPLE DO NOT FAIL DIETS; MOST DIETS FAIL PEOPLE! This is a Great article that recognizes both sides in the debate of 3 larger meals vs 5-6 smaller meals in relation to weight loss. As I said before, if total calories of the 3 big meal equals total calories of the 5-6 smaller meals, then weight loss will be the same. But, as this article states, having only 3 bigger meals leaves much longer time between meals without eating; thus causing blood sugar levels to drop, which increases hunger (along with the release of the hunger hormone Ghrelin that says FEED ME). So now, its 6pm/dinner time, and you havent eaten since 12:00 lunch... Good luck on not raiding your pantry and instead making a good healthy decision... Thats why that mid-afternoon snack (for me its a UMP shake and fruit) will keep hunger hormones in check, blood sugars stable; thus allowing me to make a better decision for dinner...
