PEPEA YOUTH MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY LAUNCHED: The cooperative society was launched today at kapchepkole primary where the members and the community were over 500 in numbers. It was the best ever! The chief guest of honour MP Bureti Hon Leonard Sang (panadol) presided the launch occasion and led the other dignitaries like chairman of water and pipeline cooperation Hon Julius Kones, MP Konoin PA Mr Victor Siele, Mr Benson Rono (kera), sub county Adm Konoin Mr Terer, Ward Adm Boito Mr Bett. Hon Kones, still stands with Water project to supply water to whole Bomet county and neighbouring county Kericho. Master tanks will be set in different parts of sub counties like Boito Ward, Bureti etc. Tea prices is worrying.as the chairman of COG is looking for market in the US, is not enough. Brokers are eating from the farmers too much. The concerns should deal with the brokers first. Otherwise, the governor is looking for market for brokers. Kones said. He promised, he is not for referendum. Furthermore, he promised to buy textbooks worth 10,000/- to Kapchepkole secondary school soon. I support referendum. The Chief guest Hon panadol said. But his support is different from everyone else. He is for the opinion that if the referendum will include creating of a new county call Bureti consisting of Konoin, Bureti and sotik constituency. Otherwise, a big No for Railas referendum. said Hon Sang. Sang congratulated Hon Julius Kones for what he did to tea sector during his tenure as MP Konoin, that he is the only hero who saved farmers from exploitation. In addition, county speaker joined later. He asked the national government to work hand in hand with county government. He plea to national government to devolve fully agriculture to county government for easy management of the problems facing the sector like poor prices facing tea sector. However, Mr Benson Rono gave his speech which touched on challenges facing youths and resolutions. Our meeting here is momentous as it will set the direction that is geared towards achieving the dreams and aspirations of the youths, we must make this meeting not just to be successful but historical. BENSON reiterated. Mp Konoin who was represented by his PA promised to support the Co-opt society. Others who made the historic day successful: Mr Cosmas Korir, Mr Kipngeno sub county Konoin security officer, nominated MCA Mrs Joyce representing disable group,Mr Chepkwony,Winnie Daima Sacco, chiefs and man Vinny.Hon Isaac Ruto governor, Hon Cecilia Ngetich women Rep, Area MCA Bett, Mr Earnest, Hon Alfred Keter and Director Bett in absentias. The public were disappointed by Bomet governor Hon Isaac Ruto despite sending Mr Terer to represent him. He was being waited eagerly Yaani kwa udi na uvumba. Terer promised governor will provide hatchery machine for the cooperative Society. Many went home questioning why the governor missed the occasion, mostly the women who had prepared a song for him.
