PERFECTED AND BUILD UP THE BODY (2013 WINTER SCHOOL) LORDS MOVE IN EUROPE, WINTER SCHOOL OF TRUTH The Lord Desires All Saints to be Perfected and Build up the Body - sharing from the 2013 Winter School of truthThis past Winter School of Truth (at Bower House, London, UK) has been very encouraging. The Topic, “The Church” is one that I didn’t go through before, so it was very refreshing to hear how much the Lord treasures the Body of Christ! As the members of the Body, we make up the church, and not one member is less important. We are all equal in the eyes of the Lord. We as the young people in the church have a burden to build up the church and bring in new members, and we can do this by the “indirect building up of the Body of Christ” and the “direct building up of the Body of Christ”. The indirect building up is carried out by the gifts to the Body. In Matthew 16:18 the Lord prophesied that He would build His church, which is his Body, upon this rock. This indicates that the Body of Christ is built upon Christ himself, with Him as the foundation. On the other hand, the church is built upon the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. The church is built up by the gifted and perfected saints. This is under the Head’s supply and is done indirectly. The direct building up of the Body is done by the perfected saints. The Lord desires all saints to be perfected; however, only those who are willing to be perfected will be the overcomers. To build up the church directly, we need to be willing to be perfected, and then the saints who are perfected will do the work of the ministry and the building up of the Body of Christ, until both the gifted persons and all the perfected saints all will arrive at the oneness of the faith and of the full knowledge of the Son of God (Eph. 4:13)! When we come together in the meetings we have one purpose, and that is to build up the church. We don’t have to be religious in our working but we should come to each meeting – be it a Lord’s Table meeting, a prayer meeting, a young people meeting or a home meeting – with a definite purpose, because the Lord works through prayer and the key to the Lord’s move is prayer! This way, if we have a definite purpose or burden, the Lord can move through the entire local church and we will not bear our burdens alone but with the saints as our divine and real family!
