PERFORMANCE SERIES: EZDRUMMER 2 - DW COLLECTORS SERIES KIT WITH GRETSCH SNARE This performance features the EZdrummer 2 MODERN sample library with the DW Collectors Series drum kit and the Gretsch Chrome Over Brass Snare with a dampened head. All performances were recorded and captured exclusively with EZdrummer 2. The MIDI performance data was then exported out of EZdrummer 2 and imported into Studio One 2 in order to configure the sample libraries using Superior Drummer 2. I used the BASIC mixer/FX chain preset in its default state within Superior Drummer 2 and modified the mix by bringing down the compression channel, bringing up the reverb channel and routing everything out to PreSonus Studio One 2. From there I applied additional EQ and compression on a per channel basis. All performances were recorded using an electronic drum kit consisting of Jobeky Drums and Field Electronic Cymbals, all triggered through a Roland TD-30, then routed to a Mac Mini via USB. All audio consists of drum samples from the EZdrummer 2 core sample library. Additional equipment includes Billy Blast 3-ply Mesh Heads, DrumTec Bass Drum Pads, Hart Dynamics Hi-Hat Controllers, DW 9000 Double Bass Pedals, and hardware from Gibraltar, Pearl and Yamaha.
