PERSECUTION Why is it important to endure persecution rather than give into it? 1 Corinthians 12:10 “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” God promises special blessings to those who hang on to their faith in Him, no matter what happens. For your faith to become strong and genuine, you will likely need to endure testing. Sometimes the hardest test is being scorned, mocked, or ignored, or insulted by others, friends, colleagues, family) because of your faith in God. It is during these hard times that your character is revealed and forced to grow. How you handle persecution shows who you really are inside, and it reveals your level of COMMITMENT TO GOD. By enduring persecution, you show that your faith and trust in God is real. Those who LIVE BOLDLY for God, despite opposition, mocking, insults, loss of friends, make a GREAT impact for eternity. 2 Corinthians 1:5 “For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.” In Jesus Christs name I pray, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit One God forever and ever.
