PERSEVERING FAITH #TBJoshua In this generation of instant meals, immediate communication and demands quickly met, it is difficult to sit quietly and wait patiently for the Lord. Yet, wait on the Lord we must, as children of God. We like to say we have faith but the question we need to ask ourselves is, how many of us have persevering faith? Persevering faith is one that comes gradually; it is not automatic. This is the kind of faith that endures to the end. If you must have faith, you must learn to hear God’s Word. Through hearing, belief comes, through believing, trust comes and through trusting, confidence is established. Those who refuse to take these tiny steps cannot trust God and understand the basic truth about faith. Our greatest mistakes will happen because of impatience. Most ventures that fail, do so because of lack of preparation and time. Wait patiently for the Lord; He knows the best and He will work out the best. When you are patient, you discover God’s presence. PRAYER: My soul is waiting for You, oh Lord; in Your Word is my hope.
