PERSONALITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS So are you Introvert or extrovert? Are you Sanguine, Phlegmatic, Choleric or Melancholy? Most of our conflicts and misunderstandings are due to personality crash; If we knew our strengths and weaknesses and further acknowledged others strengths and flaws, our relationships at work, at home and in our marriages would be better. There would be less conflicts, feuds, jealousy and anger. Overall, reduces the rate of conflicts, stress and anxiety disorders, divorces, suicide rates and depression, improving our life satisfaction, health, success and productivity. Here are some strong traits and weaknesses for different personalities; 1st-Popular Sanguine-Entertainer, outgoing, enjoys happy emotions, talkative, leads, artistic, optimistic, extrovert, fun; undisciplined, forgetful, not good in comforting others, likes attention, loud 2nd-Powerful Choleric- Director, leader, decisive, strong willed, unemotional, competitive, confident, controls, organised, outspoken, optimistic, extrovert; impatient, can be rude & bossy, unsympathetic 3rd-Perfect Melancholy-Producer, analytic, emotional, artistic, soft-spoke, pessimistic, introvert, orderly, self-sacrificial; get hurts or depressed easily, perfectionistic, unpopular, moody ,withdrawn 4th-Peaceful Phlegmatic- Observer, analytic, pessimistic, introvert, easy going, adaptable, submissive, balanced, shy, patient ;don’t like conflicts, can tend to be lazy, blank, fearful, worrier, indecisive NOTE Most people have more than one personality but among the traits there are 1 or 2 most dominant personalities; Most people marry spouses of opposite personalities, because we are admire the differences. But once married we crash if the differences are not well understood. Sanguine can marry melancholy while choleric can marry phlegmatic……guess what happens if the differences are not appreciated!! All personalities have weaknesses that can be worked on to better relationships if the individuals are willing. However, we all need to allow each other time and space to learn, without pointing out the flaws every day since we all have our personality weaknesses. Then our relationships will get better.
