PERSUADED! Hebrews 11:13, "These all died in faith . . . persuaded . . . ." Two words in this verse jump off the page here that need our earnest evaluation: "all" and "persuaded." Those men and women mentioned previously in the chapter has a common bond: THEY KNEW WHAT GOD PROMISED, THEY BELIEVED IT AND WERE PERSUADED BY IT! The content of their faith, gave them a confidence in their future direction. They knew that they were pilgrims on this earth: AND THAT HEAVEN WAS THEIR FINAL DESTINATION. Do you have that kind of confidence now in your life? Trust Christ, and His promise: “Whosoever shall call of the name of the Lord shall be saved!” (Romans 10:13). Bow the knee! Humble your heart. Plead with the Almighty God for his forgiveness. Look unto Christ who died for you! Receive Him! Then, O sinner all will be well, and you will have peace.
