PESHAWAR, Mar30: Students belong to Waziristan agency demanded of the government to immediately stop drone attacks in the agency and eliminate 40- Frontier Crime Regulation (FCR). Addressing a news conference at Peshawar press club on Friday, Khan Bahadar, a president of Fata Students Federation (FSF) Waziristan agency said that due to a conspiracy Razmak Cadet College of the agency were being shifted to other place, adding that such kind of tactics would be tolerated. The government, he said had completely failed to spread education activities in the agency while rulers did not take any tangible steps to establish new education institutions in the area. They demanded of the government to announce a medical college for all the seven agencies of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) forthwith and increase quota system in government colleges and universities of settled areas to Waziristan’s students. They also demanded to wave off their fees and provide them packages as granted to Malakand students. They further demanded to release the arrested people and not arrest the Janikhel Wazir tribe through 40-FCR otherwise they would launch protest demonstration. “In US-led drone attacks innocent tribesmen are being killed and more children has become orphan in the result of these attacks” Mr. Bahadr said and expressed fear that if the attacks were continue there would be no educational environment in the agency. They demanded to stop the concerned drone attacks and reopen all the closed education institution and extend education activities in FATA.
