PESHAWAR, Sept 22 At least 10 militants were killed and seven others injured in clashes with security forces in Pakho Parezo area of the Frontier Region Peshawar on Wednesday. Three security personnel suffered injuries. Security forces seized 25 improvised explosives devices, including some rocket launchers and mortars and an explosives-laden vehicle. Sources said that the security forces had purged Bora, Hassankhel and Pastawana areas of Taliban and were now clearing Pakho Parizo. Reports reaching here said that people in the tribal belt and settled suburban villages, including Adezai, were cooperating with law-enforcement personnel. This is the second anti-Taliban operation in the FR Peshawar region, the first was launched by Frontier Constabulary on Feb 24 and it continued till March 24. The operation left 38 militants dead. Security officials had said at that time that the Political Administration of the Frontier Region would set up security checkpoints in the area to stop infiltration of militants in the area, but this was not done and, as a result, the Taliban returned to the area.
