PESHAWAR: Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Assad Qaiser on Sunday inaugurated mobile van service in Basic Health Unit Baaja, District Swabi as part of government endeavor to ensure provision of basic health facilities to people at their doorsteps. Speaking on the occasion, Assad Qaiser said that government was making concerted efforts to provide basic health cover and facilities to people and assured that all available resources and energies would be utilized to achieve the goal. He said that funds have been allocated to upgrade Gajju Khan Medical College Swabi and Baacha Khan Medical Complex by transforming them from category-B to Category-A besides enhancing the existing medical facilities by appointing medical professionals. Assad said the provision of better health and education is integral part of our manifesto and is on the top of government’s priority list. He said efforts were underway to resolve the issues confronted by a common man and people would start enjoying the fruits of welfare oriented policies initiated in KP with the prime objective to uplift masses. The inauguration ceremony was attended by MPA, Salim Babar, officials of health department and local elders.
