PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS – DAY AND NIGHT (A YEAR APART) Ghostly images of the Petronas Twin Towers with a cloud plume clearly visible at their summits. This phenomenon happens during a cool day or night, often after a heavy shower. The leafy area that surrounds the precinct of the Towers and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) and the two huge pools next to the them, help with water condensation. The photos were taken as midnight approached (about 23.20h), 13 Jan 2014. Incidentally, another opportunity arose exactly a year later. At about 13.09h, 14 Jan 2015, the other 2 photos were taken from the same spot, i.e. as the Putrajaya-Kuala Lumpur MEX Highway descends and joins Jalan Tun Razak at the south of Kuala Lumpur. To snap the day photos, I parked my car for about a minute on the spur of the moment, in front of a lorry that broke down and parked on the side of the busy highway. When I took the earlier night photos, there highway end was almost traffic free. Alhamdulillah. MOHAMED HATTA SHAHAROM
