PF Blame Kabimba for Copperbelt Crisis Patriotic Front members on the Copperbelt have blamed disgraced former Secretary General Wynter Kabimba as the source of the recent altercation between deputy minister Mwenya Musenge and provincial boss Stardy Mwale. Cadres are disrespecting ministers and party officials after insecurities crept in. For some time Copperbelt Minister Mwenya Musenge and Copperbelt Province Chairperson Stardy Mwale have been good friends but things have since turned sour. A source within the party has confirmed to Zambia Reports that Copperbelt Minister Mwenya Musenge has expressed disappointment of the conduct of the PF provincial chairperson. “What you are seeing in the media is true, because Stardy Mwale thinks he is the boss of Musenge and you know Musenge is a sober man but he was very upset that day,” a source said. “Musenge was not happy that Mwale had been frequenting State House with some names of party cadres to be appointed into serious jobs, Musenge was not happy when he found a list of the party cardres to be appointed to some jobs when ba Lungu is acting President,” the source added. The source said the issue was not serious between the two as they were in good books but experienced a normal misunderstanding but hinted that the biggest problem on the Copperbelt was being created by Kabimba and his surrogates. “I am sure you are aware that Steven Chungu (Luanshya PF MP) and his group are making our work difficult, so they have decided to dissolve the Luanshya District executive committee to get rid of some people,” the source said. “Noti nefi balelanda ati gross misconduct takuli! Chungu aliba rude, kafitala (not what they are claiming as gross misconduct there is nothing as such, Chungu is rude), he is still loyal to Wynter Kabimba and he has instructed his followers to stop attending meetings called by the person who was appointed to act in his position after he was suspended,” the source said. Chugu was Luanshya District Executive Committee Chairperson before he was suspended for gross misconduct. She said “the probelm is everyone is panicking in the party no one is comfortable for some reasons. I don’t know as well, soon when this reaches to the secretary general ukamona bamo ba kabantanfya (you will see others will be expelled) because ka Lungu kama discipline kena (because Lungu is a disciplinarian)” The PF is in a crisis to chose President Sata’s successor with several Cabinet ministers lining up to contest the presidential by-election to be held not later than January 31, 2015 following the death of the country’s leader in London last night. zambiareports/2014/10/29/pf-blame-kabimba-copperbelt-crisis/
