PF MPs AGREE TO SUPPORT THE HOLDING OF THE GENERAL CONFERENCE BUT DEMAND FOR THE SUSPENSION OF DR GUY SCOTT Representatives of the 70 Members of Parliament arising from a caucus meeting held at Parliament Motel last night, have demanded for an immediate suspension of Acting President Guy Scott from the party for breaching the Constitution and for condoning acts of corruption. Speaking at a Press Conference this morning held at Cool Breeze Lodge on Thabo Mbeki Road, the MPS demanded for the Central Committee to sit and suspend Scott. The MPS have stated that Dr. Scott has frequently acted outside the constitution of the party and therefore have called upon the Central Committee to effect the suspension. They also reaffirmed their support for Edgar Lungu as the sole presidential candidate of the PF. They have also resolved to go to the General Conference under the guidance and rules of the Central Committee. They have condemned the shortcuts taken by Acting President who has ignored the constitutional role of the MCC and sidelined the Central Committee. They have accused Dr. Scott of condoning corruption being perpetrated by Miles Sampa and others because they allege that Dr. Scott, like Sampa, belong to the Cartel. They demanded that the actions of Guy Scott be dealt with by the Central Committee. They have also stated that they will go to the General Conference and will mobilise delegates for Lungu.
