PF has won the Feira bye-election. The vote shares : PF : 3 529 UPND : 967 MMD : 617 UNIP: 344 NAREP : 63 votes. Turn out was around 50%. The Feira parliamentary seat fell vacant when MMD MP Patrick Ngoma resigned from his position to join the ruling PF. He has now won back the seat beating the combined share of the opposition. Equally important is that this is the first bye-election since the PF removed the fuel and maize subsidies. Question : What lessons can we learn from this convincing win by PF?
