PF in Alleged East Vote Buying The opposition United Party for National Development has accused the ruling Patriotic Front of going in full gear distributing maize to the people of Malambo and Petauke with a view to influence their choice in the frozen by-election. UPND vice president Dr Canisius Banda said Eastern Province Minister Malozo Sichone and Mambwe District Commissioner Janet Palukani were spearheading the process. The PF is fighting on all fronts including the courts to ensure former ministers Dora Siliya and Maxwell Mwale do not re-contest or win their seats. “The PF through the Eastern Province minister and the Mambwe DC have started distributing maize to the electorate in order to influence the outcome of the Malambo Constituency by-election. For the PF it is corruption only when others do it; when they do it, they call it aid,” said Banda said.
