PFEIFFELMAN CELEBRATES LAST DAY AT ISLAND POST OFFICE A familiar face at the Mackinac Island Post Office on Market Street is retiring after today. Nancy Bazinaw Pfeiffelman is working her last day after over 24 years on the job. Nancy says she will miss seeing all the people everyday, but is looking forward to retirement and plans to spend time traveling with her husband Ed. Postmaster Fisher said that working with Nancy over the years was like clockwork and that they would often carry on anothers task if one was interupted and would do so often seamlessly. Nancy said, When I first started, it was just Deb and I, we often ran around in here like waitresses in a busy restaurant, and I know what thats like because Deb and I both waited tables on the Island too! The staff at the Post Office has a nice cake to commemorate the occasion, and residents are invited to stop in and celebrate with Nancy. Congratulations to Nancy from MINV!! L-r: Postmaster Deb Fisher, Nancy Pfeiffelman, and Annie Linn.
