PGT, TGT, PRT and other Teaching Jobs in KVS -2013 Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan KVS has issued a notification for many teaching and non-teaching jobs in KVS. Candidates are required to apply online from 29th July 2013 till 28th August 2013. ADVT NO. : 07 RECRUITMENT FOR THE TEACHING AND MISCELLANEOUS TEACHING POSTS FOR THE YEARs 2012-13 AND 2013-14. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), henceforth mentioned as KVS, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India invites Online applications from Indian Citizens for recruitment to the Teaching and Miscellaneous Teaching posts for the years 2012-13 and 2013-14. Candidates are required to apply online through this website OR jobapply.in/kvs/ No other means/mode of submission of applications will be accepted. POST GRADUATE TEACHER (PGT) [GROUP B POST] 1 2 I. EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS FOR POST CODE 11 TO 20 Essential: i) Two years integrated Post Graduate M.Sc Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject or Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the following subjects: - 3 ii) B.Ed or equivalent degree from recognized University. iii) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English media. Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications. II – EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS FOR POST CODE 21 AND 22 4 5 6 I. EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATION FOR POST CODE 41 TO 46 Essential: i) Four years’ integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate; OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects/combination of subjects and in aggregate. The electives subjects and Languages in the combination of subjects are as under: 7 ii). Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose. iii) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium. Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications. II . EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS FOR POST CODE 47 TO 49 8 9 10 AGE RELAXATION Relaxation in upper age limit will be as under: (a) No age bar in the case of employees of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. (b) Upto a maximum of 5 years in the case of SC/ ST candidates. (c) Upto a maximum of 3 years in the case of OBC candidates. (d) Upto 5 years for persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during 01.01.80 to 31.12.89. (e) Upto a maximum of 5 years for Government Servants. (f) Upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of SC/ST and 08 years in the case of OBC candidates serving as Govt. employees in accordance with the Govt. of India instructions. An applicant claiming age relaxation under this para should produce a certificate from his/her employer to the effect that he/ she is a Govt. servant as on the date of advertisement. (g) Upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of Physically Challenged candidates. (h) Upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of women candidates for teaching posts only. Note 1: Except for Physically Challenged candidates, all the concessions mentioned above will be concurrent, that is, if a person is eligible for more than one concession, only one of the concessions of the highest permissible limit, will be granted. For Physically Challenged, if a person belongs to SC/ST, he/she will be allowed 15 years, i.e., 10 years for Physically Challenged and 5 years for SC/ST. HOW TO APPLY ? Candidates are to visit this website or jobapply.in/kvs/ with their valid email id where complete advertisement, details regarding eligibility criteria, selection procedure, application fee, online registration and general conditions are available. : 7 : ? Candidates applying online are required to take print out of auto generated filled in application format and affix their photograph at the appropriate places and put their signature on all pages of the application form. The print out of completed application, along with prescribed KVS bank challan where applicable and self-attested copies of testimonials, is to be sent in an envelope after affixing the address label generated alongwith the application print out superscripted “Application for the post of …………………………………” to “Post Box No. 3076, Lodi Road, New Delhi-110003″ by ordinary post only. The application complete in all respects should reach the above post box on or before 12.09.2013. The Online application will be entertained only if the application printout alongwith the relevant documents is received. ? No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Before applying the candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility norms. ? Their registration will be provisional as their eligibility will be verified only at the time of Interview. Mere issue of admit card/Interview call letter will not imply acceptance of candidature of the applicants. Candidature of a registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or even after joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria at any stage. EXAMINATION FEES ? Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of 750/- (Rs. Seven Hundred and Fifty only). The fee once paid will not be refunded on any account nor would this fee be held in reserve for future exam/selection. ? In case of payment through Bank Challan; Indian Bank will charge 30/- (Rupees Thirty only) as “service charge” in addition to the fees. ? In case of payment through Credit/Debit Card (Master or Visa approved); Indian Bank will charge 30/- (Rupees Thirty only) as “service charge” in addition to the fees. MODE OF PAYMENT Candidates should fill in the details to register and then fill the information in the online application form at the appropriate places very carefully as per the instructions available on the website. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application/processing fee and to fill in the payment details carefully. After filling the information candidate to proceed for making the payment and select any one of the following options: 1. Through Credit/Debit Card (Master or Visa approved) ? On successful transaction of the payment through payment gateway, auto generated application number will be issued. Candidate has to take the print out of the Application Form containing the auto generated application number. ? The print out of completed application and self-attested copies of testimonials is to be sent in an envelope after affixing the address label generated alongwith the application print out superscripted “Application for the post of …………………………………” to “Post Box No. 3076, Lodi Road, New Delhi-110003″ by ordinary post only. 2. Through Bank Challan: ? On selecting the option of Bank Challan and on submitting; three copies of bank challan will be generated. The registration at this stage is provisional. ? Indian Bank has been authorized to collect the application fee, in a specially opened Account No. 935020934. ? Candidate has to approach the nearby Indian Bank branch on next or subsequent days of filling application form with a printout of the system generated “Bank Challan”. Candidates who fill up application form on 28.08.2013 have to deposit application fee in the Indian Bank on the same day, i.e., on 28.08.2013 during banking hours. ? On receipt of the money, the concerned branch of Indian Bank will issue a unique Journal Number and a CBS Branch Code of the branch collecting the money. ? Indian Bank branch will retain Bank’s copy of the challan and return back two copies to the candidate after filling in the unique Journal Number and a CBS Branch Code of the branch. ? Candidates are advised to keep with them the Candidate’s Copy as a token of remittance of fee for future reference. ? Candidate can verify their Payment Receipt Status after 3 days of deposit of fees from the website. Once the fee is paid and confirmed on the website candidate has to take the print out of the Application Form containing the auto generated application number. ? The print out of completed application, along with original KVS’s Bank Challan copy and selfattested copies of testimonials, is to be sent in an envelope after affixing the address label generated alongwith the application print out superscripted “Application for the post of …………………………………” to “Post Box No. 3076, Lodi Road, New Delhi-110003″ by ordinary post only. SCHEME OF EXAMINATION I. For the post of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Part I will comprise of 40 multiple choice questions in English and Hindi subjects carrying 20 marks each (total 40 marks). Part II will consist of 160 multiple type questions of 1 mark each comprising Current Affairs (20), Reasoning and Numerical Ability (20), Teaching Methodology (20) and the subject concerned (100) questions. The test will be of 03 hours duration. The Part II of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies Part I securing 5 marks each in English & Hindi subjects and 13 marks in aggregate in English and Hindi. The final merit will be based on the performance of the candidate in written test (Part II) and interview. The weightage of written test (Part II) and interview will be 70:30. II. For the post of TGT (P&HE, WE, AE) and Librarian, Part I will consist of 40 multiple objective type questions in the subjects English and Hindi carrying 1 mark each. Part II will consist of 160 multiple type objective questions carrying 1 mark each comprising of Current Affairs (30), Reasoning and Numerical Ability (30) and concerned subject (100) questions. The test will be of 03 hours duration. The Part II of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies Part I securing 5 marks each in English & Hindi subjects and 13 marks in aggregate in English and Hindi subjects. The final merit list will be based on the performance of the candidate in written test (Part II) and interview. The weightage of written test (Part II) and interview will be 70:30. III. For the posts of TRAINED GRADUATE TEACHERs (English, Hindi, Maths, Sanskrit, Science and Social Studies) and PRIMARY TEACHERS, Part I of the question paper will consist of 30 multiple choice objective questions in English (15) and Hindi (15) questions carrying 1 mark each. Part II will consist of 120 multiple choice objective questions carrying 1 mark each comprising of Current Affairs (40), Reasoning Ability (40) and Teaching Methodology (40). The total duration of test for the posts of TGTs and Primary Teachers will two and a half hours each. Part II of the question paper of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies in part I securing 4 marks each in English and Hindi subjects and 10 marks in aggregate. The final merit will be based on the combined performance in the written test and interview and the weightage will be 70:30. The KVS has decided that only CTET Paper-I (for classes I to V) and Paper-II (for classes VI to VIII) pass candidates should be allowed to apply as per the recruitment rules. IV. For the post of PRT (Music), Part I of the question paper will consist of 30 multiple choice questions in the subjects English (15) and Hindi (15) carrying 1 mark each. Part II of the question paper will consist of 120 multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each in Current Affairs (30), Reasoning Ability (30) and Subject Related Questions (Musicology) (60) questions. The paper will be of two and a half hours duration. Part II of the question paper of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies in part I securing 4 marks each in English and Hindi subjects and 10 marks in aggregate. For preparation of the final merit, the weighted evaluation scheme shall be Written Test 50%, Performance Test 30% and Interview 20%. 11 Note: The centres for the examinations as mentioned above are subject to change at the discretion of the Sangathan. While every effort will be made to allot the candidates, the centre of his/ her choice for the examination, the Sangathan may at its discretion allot a different centre to the candidate in case sufficient candidates do not opt for a particular centre for any post or for any other administrative reason (s). No request for change of examination centre once allotted will be entertained and the candidate will have to appear at the allotted centre at his/ her expenses. SCHEDULE OF EXAMINATION WILL BE DISPLAYED ON KVS WEBSITE. CANDIDATES ARE REQUESTED TO VISIT ON KVS WEBSITE REGULARLY. CORRESPONDENCE WITH CANDIDATES All correspondence with candidates will be done through e-mail only. All information regarding examination schedule/admit card/ interview call letters etc. will be provided through uploading on KVS website. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of admit card/interview call letter/ any other information shall be of the candidate. KVS will not be responsible for any loss of email sent, due to invalid/wrong email ID provided by the candidate or for delay/non receipt of information if a candidate fails to access his/her email/website in time. Candidates are requested to regularly visit KVS website i.e. kvsangathan.nic.in. for the information regarding the recruitment. GENERAL CONDITIONS ? The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility condition(s). ? Mere issue of Admit Card to the candidate will not imply that his candidature has been finally cleared by the KVS. ? Only Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) pass candidates are eligible to apply for the posts of TGT (English/Hindi/Sanskrit/Maths/Science/Social Studies) and Primary Teacher. ? The KVS takes up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidates have qualified for interview. ? Since the posts advertised are Group ‘B’ posts, there is no reservation for Ex-servicemen. ? Fee once paid will NOT be refunded under any circumstances. ? No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST and Persons with disability candidates. ? The vacancies may vary. They may increase or decrease. ? 5% relaxation in CTET marks has been given to the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and persons with disability category. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and persons with disability categories who have passed CTET with 82 marks or more are eligible to apply for the posts of TGT (English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Maths, Science and Social Studies) and Primary Teacher as per their eligibility for the post.
