PH: #MorningCrossfirePH with @Kofi_Bartels on 92.3 FG Restates Commitment to Fighting Poverty The federal government, saturday, restated its commitment to fighting poverty to a standstill through job creation, women empowerment and other various means. Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Zainab Maina, who restated government’s commitment in this regard during 5th and 6th graduation ceremony of 450 trained graduands of Women in Agriculture and Youths Empowerment (WAYE) Foundation, in Jos, Plateau State, noted that unemployment remains the greatest economic challenge of the country. She said WAYE Foundation, a non-governmental organization, founded by the First Lady of Plateau State, Mrs Talatu Jang, has made a giant stride in the area of alleviating poverty through training of women and youths in various skills, adding that by such training, the foundation has enabled the beneficiaries to support themselves, their families, the state and the nation at large. She pledged the support of President Jonathan’s administration towards the foundation.
