PHE Daily wagers call on Kavinder Gupta Jammu,October 25: A deputation of ITI Diploma holder PHE Daily wagers called on BJP State General Secretary & Former Mayor Kavinder Gupta at party headquarters on Saturday and briefed him about their grievances due to the indifferent approach of the state government towards them. BJP Akhnoor district president Daljeet Singh was also present on the occasion. The member of the deputation, while briefing about their plight, said that thousands of ITI Diploma holders are presently working in PHE as daily wagers for the last seven years. They were engaged as daily wagers under state cabinet decision’s Order No. F-239 of 2005 and till date they have not been regularized. They said that earlier the daily wagers who had completed five years were considered for regularization and later on the period for regularization was extended to be seven years and now the government is not paying any attention towards their repeated appeals of regularization as the finance minister himself is coming out with an excuse that at least such daily wagers must have completed ten years to be eligible for regularization. They said that a large number among them are over aged now and as such cannot apply anywhere and there only hope is that they are regularized. Kavinder Gupta gave them a patient hearing and assured that their grievances will be taken up with the concerned department further adding that the BJP stands with these daily wagers and want their regularization.
