PHEW, Im tired! Main points of the oncologist visit today: the medication he had me on for a month (I had to stop due to side effects) worked very well, knocking my PSA down by almost 2/3...a very good thing. Hes putting me on another med, hopefully with no side effects. The disease is primarily in my bones, especially legs and arms--Im going to restart another med to strengthen the bones and fight the disease there. The scans showed one small suspicious spot on a lung that he thinks will be handled by the meds...also, spots on the liver he believes are cysts (?)...sorry if thats TMI :p Im relieved...the last info. Id received weeks ago was an insanely high PSA...since then, Id allowed myself to be majorly stressed over the what if scenario. Yes, I have metastatic cancer...but, thank God, its still something that can be controlled. Thank you, all, for joining me on this journey!
