Neither Senate nor House members ought tolerate refusals. We, the American People do not seat public officials to abuse their power. Members Of Congress Are Elected, not appointed, not hired by American presidents. Members answer to no one - but their constituents. There is no reason why Senators or Representatives can’t convene and vote on proposed legislation... regardless of Majority Leader or Speaker refusal; both can sit out. “Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people.” ~ John Quincy Adams Majority Leaders And House Speakers, essentially, deny Americans their voice through their representatives when votes are controlled by leadership whim. “We, the American People” need to wise up and trash this nonsense - along with other excessive, unnecessary, unwarranted legislation, taxation, and regulation. “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” ~ Mao Tse-Tung Election 2014 Isnt Likely to curb Majority Leader/House Speaker arbitrary power. Heinlein People Intending To Live In Liberty do not allow legislators - or other public officials within These United States of America, to enter into defined-benefit public sector collective bargaining contracts. They prohibit government from binding taxpayers through arbitration. Stop and Think It’s your property, not “State” property.
