PILAU Ingredients 2 Cups Rice (Mwea Pishori) 1/4 Cup cooking oil ¼ inch ginger cut into strips 2 large Onions chopped 5 Cloves garlic crushed 1/4 Kg Meat(option either beef or goat meat) 2 Heaped tbsp Tomato Paste 1 tsp sugar 2 Teaspoons ground Pilau Masala ( Tropical heat) 4 cups Water Salt METHOD - Boil the meat till tender. - Heat the oil, fry the ginger for 1 minute, add the onion and Fry to golden brown (Don’t burn them) - Put in the meat, and mix well - Put the garlic , pilau masala, sugar and tomato paste, stir for 2 - Let the mixture cook in roughly 1/4 cup of water for about 5 minutes - Add the water and let it boil and season with salt - Add the rice and let it boil - Reduce the heat and cover - let the rice cook until the water almost dries up then put in pre heated oven to dry
