Because of the Texas Humane Legislation Network and your financial support, SB 360 -- the bill to End Gas Chamber Euthanasia for Texas shelter dogs and cats -- was unanimously voted out of the Senate and House and signed effective immediately by Governor Rick Perry this legislative session. The term "euthanasia" means "good death" and while no one wants to see adoptable animals euthanized in shelters, effective January 1, 2014, all shelter dogs and cats in Texas can have a humane end to life.
