PISSING OFF THE MASSES (PART II) Now its gets really dicey. Trying to pick the top `10 personal favorite comedies. Boy there is going to be some howling on this one. I dont even know what order they should go in because everyone in my mind, when I think of it, was the funniest. But here goes. 10) BLAZING SADDLES: This was utterly ridiculous. Just one sight gag after another strung together to make a movie. Seen it a million times and still laugh. 9.) SOMETHING ABOUT MARY: If you dont fall out of your chair laughing at the absurdities here you dont have a heartbeat., 8.) FRIDAY: Despite an out of character weak ending this is probably the best constructed throughout Ghetto Movie of all time. 7.) BLUES BROTHERS: It takes a very funny film for me to rise above my distaste for Dan Akyrod. This movie did that. A classic on most lists. 6.) MY COUSIN VINNY: Low budget Hilarious. One funny movie. Utes? 5.) MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL: Their signature movie. If you dont like this movie you dont like Monty Python. 4.) ANIMAL HOUSE: In retrospect I dont think this movie holds up that well but it could be because Ive seen it 100 times. Boy it was funny at the time. Hilarious 3.) VACATION: The first one caught me by surprise. Stupidity as a family. 2.) PORKYS: The first one was as absurd as it gets. That scene with Ms. Ballbuster (see below) is the funniest scene ever made in a move for me. 1.) FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH: Worthless people in a worthless movie that worked. Sean Penn never did anything close to this funny again. Now go ahead. Blast me for not including Caddy shack or whatever was your favorite.
