Below are also a few of our favorite FACTS you can include: The American Pit Bull Terrier scored better in temperament testing than such dogs as beagles,dachshunds and golden retrievers (to name a few). There is no such thing as a “pit bull”. That term generally refers to many different breeds of dogs. When people are asked to visually identify a dog, they are incorrect over 70% of the time. Breed Specific Legislation is expensive and ineffective. A county in Maryland spent over $500k on BSL in one year with no decrease in dog-related issues.
