PITTSBURGH, PA: ***THE TABLES HAVE TURNED, AND NOW I NEED HELP IN FINDING MY PARENTS CAT, MINK, A NEW HOME.*** I CAN BE REACHED AT 412-795-1457, 412-977-2727, OR kmarino15239@yahoo This is so hard for me to do because, as, mentioned above, Im the one who helps people in this situation, and now I have to ask for help, which is awful. My mom passed away last year, and my father recently passed away, leaving their beloved rescue cat, Mink, in need of a new home. Id love nothing more to take her to my place (I fostered her several years ago while she was getting healthy), but my husbands allergic to cats and two of my dogs arent cat-friendly at all. I cant bear the thought of banishing her to a bathroom or bedroom at our house for the rest of her life, so I have to do whats best for her. Please read Minks bio below, and share/network as much as possible. Thanks so much! Please meet Mink! She was my moms and dads fur kid, whom they loved a lot. She even converted a self-professed cat-hater (my dad) into a feline fan, so she must be a special girl. :) Minks a petite gorgeous long-haired gray kitty, whom I rescued several years ago. She arrived with matted hair, soaking wet, smelling awful, and with scaly, scabby skin. I looked beyond her outward appearance, fell in love with her, and knew I had to help in getting her healthy. Mink was referred to a pet dermatologist, and I was instructed to shave her, lime-dip her several times, and provide her with a good, nutritious food. She was such a trooper with the dipping and shaving, and I was amazed she started to improve so quickly. Just as Minks health started to get back on track, she developed pneumonia, and again, trooper that she was, came through this serious illness with flying colors. Mink loves my dog, Action, and they spent many happy days together at my parents house. Ever since weve had her, shes never been around other cats. Minks around 13 years old, but dont let her age fool you. She loves to play with her catnip toys and bat around her toys - especially when someone joins in to play with her! Minks not a lap cat, but will sit next to you and purr when shes petted. Shes a wonderful little companion and doesnt require a lot of attention, but does appreciate a little petting and a little play time. Minks up to date on her vetting and is spayed. She goes to the groomer for a haircut and nail trim when needed. Im so upset that Mink needs to find a new home, but this is best for her, as she deserves to find another loving family wholl take good care of her like my parents did.
