PLAYING A GAME WITHOUT A PARTNER One of my religious duty - TopicsExpress

PLAYING A GAME WITHOUT A PARTNER One of my religious duty during the morning hours is sorting out tablets, capsules etc of different colours and sizes in the respective boxes for 4 sessions to be consumed by my life partner. The job was going on even while the music from the system was making my job lighter. By some mishandling one of the dark red coloured tablet of hardly a few mm in size jumped out of my hand and rolled over to some corner of our 10 feet into 12 feet room. To retrieve it is a tough task for my age and was about to abandon the searching mission and go for another one. But considering it costs nearly 15Rs I got motivation for all out hunt for that small piece in that room. I went around scanning the floor kneeling with my enlarged eyes that is already bigger than average. The first attempt failed. But in that room the Tv-box, book shelf, sofa pieces, and also an inverter and a stool was there and in all probability must be safely hiding in some nook and corner. Any average man might have given up the hope and might decide an elaborate search is not worth that !5 Rs.for which one can get average coffee in Chennai. But more than the money my sleeping sportsman was aroused and there was no more stopping for me. I turned in to four and started crawling around the room focusing every area. For a man of my age that is sufficient for a morning work out. That dark coloured tablet was not in sight at all. With so many hiding places under furniture and sofa it could have rolled down and settled. With one push up I was in my 2 again and procured my torch light to probe further with the spirit of a hunter for his prey. This time my knee had developed some bruises on the cap and forced to swim on the floor like a 4 month old baby or reminding my breast stroke days in the swimming pool. At last the torch light exposed that bloody rascal hiding under the book shelf much to my delight. Gifted with a body structure of a pencil I could easily roll under the furniture and try to grab the tablet with my long arms. But still it was short of 6 inches and I had to get up with another push up and secure a thin walking stick that was used by my father. Recalling my days of playing some billiards in my youth full days I was successful to pull it to my side and grabbed it with all glee and satisfaction that could be equated to Sharmas double century yesterday! Now I made a third push up for the day and looked at that tablet, rolled over to my palm and paid tribute to that small piece for its never say die attitude and fighting up to the last moment. I dropped it in to the 3rd tiny box where it was truly belonged. I should not have called it a bloody rascal as it is going to prolong the life of my sweet heart. A very good work out was also completed with all sweat smeared. My waiting wife gracefully offered my oats porridge after enjoying all the fun before her eyes. Any lesson, for me ?--I should start dropping tablets on regular basis and get the benefit of workouts? Not necessary, As every day we come across knotty problems either for us or to our dear and near. Brave them like a sportsman and enjoy the pleasure of solving them with out going for outside help. I assure you the mental pleasure and satisfaction in those moments is really great! Hopefully all must have enjoyed yesterday Thamasha after very good food and meeting your near and dear. Thank you all! -- J.PANCHAPAGESAN
